Drowning prevention Initiative: Support Watercrafters
At Watercrafters, our mission always goes beyond maintaining and renovating beautiful backyard pools. We focus on creating safe, joyful spaces where families can thrive, laugh, and grow together. That is why we are proud to announce our new drowning prevention initiative. Through this program, we support Step Into Swim and Infant Swimming Resource (ISR). These life-changing organizations provide critical learn-to-swim lessons for children across the country.
How We Support Step Into Swim
Step Into Swim, powered by the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance, ensures every child has access to proper swim education. Because swimming isn’t just fun, it is a life-saving skill. As local pool professionals, we see firsthand how important water safety is. Consequently, we are honored to play a part in expanding access to lessons for kids in our community.
Our Donation Match Program
Watercrafters will match up to the first $1,000 in customer donations during the month of May. Every single dollar you give goes directly to the Step Into Swim program. Furthermore, our vendor partner BioGuard has already contributed $25,000 to this cause. The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance Board of Directors will match every dollar donated, doubling the impact of your generosity.
Raising Awareness in Our Community
We are using our platform to spread awareness about the importance of swimming education. Watercrafters has proudly donated over $500 in merchandise to help promote this safety program. In addition, our team members will wear Step Into Swim t-shirts every Friday in May to spark helpful conversations.

Starting Safe and Swimming Strong with ISR
Our drowning prevention initiative also focuses on the youngest swimmers in Montgomery County. Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is a nationally recognized survival swim program. It teaches infants and young children self-rescue skills in the water. Founded in 1966, ISR has safely delivered more than 8 million lessons. Their main goal is reducing childhood drowning, which remains a leading accidental cause of death for children.
