GETTING READY FOR A POOL PARTY?

GETTING READY FOR A POOL PARTY?

The glimpses of warmer weather make us itch to have the pool party we’ve been dreaming of all winter. The celebration of spring to summer, entertaining friends and family and jumping in the inviting water that is calling to you after the pool has been opened. Now is the time to prepare, get organized and be ready to relax and enjoy without stress or worry that your pool isn’t clean, clear and healthy. Remember that it can take 1 to 2 weeks and sometimes longer to get the pool ready for swimming after the pool opening. We recommend opening your pool with this in mind.

  • Make sure your pool is balanced. This is essential for the comfort of your swimmers and the health of the overall pool system. You don’t want to watch your guests upset over irritated skin and eyes. Bring in your pool water sample 24-48 hours after the pool opening to get started on the balancing process.
  • Make sure your equipment is working and level. The worst thing that could happen is suddenly your filter stops or a valve leaks. Make sure your equipment is level and in proper working order. The Watercrafters service team can provide checks and maintenance at your pool’s opening. Need additional equipment maintenance, repair, or leveling? No problem—just let us know.
  • If the pool opens green, it will take longer to get it to come around to clear. It may be necessary to bring in additional water samples for testing after the initial balancing process.
  • Don’t forget to create the perfect retreat and ambiance in and around your pool with pool toys, chairs, lighting, outdoor drinkware and other fun backyard accessories. Stop by our store to find a large selection of the perfect items to decorate your outdoor oasis.

Having all of this planned ahead of time and ready to go will make your event smooth and stress-free.  It’s no secret—Watercrafters is ready to help you get ready so you can focus on quality time with your family and friends.
